Bill from Glasgow | Signed on: Sun 17 Aug 2008 14:04:08 BST I first visited Scarborough in 1958 and have many fond memory,s of Peasholm park and indeed the whole town. It was a magical experiance to someone as young and it has stayed in my mind ever since. Unfortunatly health problems prevent me from ever coming back but I wish you all the luck in the world with you,re project and I hope that many other youngsters will be lucky enough to remember Peasholm park with the same fondness that I do. |

James Watkin from Whitley Bay | Signed on: Mon 11 Aug 2008 14:51:20 BST We've just returned from a 3 day visit to Scarbourgh, Filey and Bridlington and of course took the opportunity to see the great work being done by the friends of Peasholm Park. Scarborough is looking a bit tatty around the edges and the The Sands complex takes some getting used to, but Peasholm Park is still a jewel in the crown as far as we're concenrned. The park was very busy with loads of families enjoying the facilities, but the weather not too kind. We'll be back next year so keep up the good work !!! |

James Watkin from Whitley Bay | Signed on: Wed 09 Jul 2008 11:25:09 BST Sitting on a sunny day listening to what I call da da! music. A cup of coffee from the cafe and the kids learning to love the place just as I did when I was younger. I think my two kids will probably do exactly the same and return with their kids as Peasholm Park has an old world charm that's hard to resist. Well done on a fantastic website and good luck with all your efforts to restore the park. |

I was beginning to think I had dreamt the Tree Walk Wonderland, it was so magical. Am 30 now and still enjoy visiting Scarborough, just as much as when I was a little girl xx |

Glenda Young from London | Signed on: Mon 19 May 2008 12:07:46 BST Thank you for your site. I am 44 years old but still have wonderful memories of the tree walk from being on holidays to Scarbough as a child. The tree walk was one of the most magical places in the world, to a child. I'm visiting Scarborough this coming weekend and will visit it again after all these years. |

Chris Horne from Queensland, Australia | Signed on: Sat 05 Apr 2008 12:03:03 BST Delighted to find your web site, it brought back many happy memories! I lived in Scarborough in 1946 and again in 1954. I particularly remember falling into the freezing lake in 1946, funny how this event stays in my mind, must have been a big drama at the time! I loved seeing the naval battles, such a highlight. I also learnt to row a boat, such fun! |

Peter Hayes from Stockport England | Signed on: Wed 24 Oct 2007 11:52:29 BST Went back to Scarborough this weekend after an absence of 42 years. Fabulous memories rekindled by a brief visit to the park. Sunny days watching the Battle of the River Plate re-enactment - fantastic. We didn't need playstations and computers to enjoy ourselves in the 60's. Feel sorry for todays kids sometimes. Keep up the good work. |
